Vivo X200 FE Review – The Pocket‑Size Flagship You Didn’t See Coming

Vivo X200 FE First Look

Imagine a flagship-level phone with stunning cameras, a large battery, and a clean design, all packed in a phone of such a size that it fits perfectly in your hand. Sounds like a dream? That’s the Vivo X200 FE.

When I held this phone for the first time, it immediately reminded me of the X200 Ultra, not because of the size but because of its vibe. The size is small, but it has the features of a premium flagship. It’s like Vivo has made its Ultra model smaller and pocket-friendly. Both in size and price. If you are someone who doesn’t like bulky phones but wants a compact camera phone, then keep reading. GoGadgetGuide will answer one burning question: Is Vivo X200 FE the best compact phone of 2025?

First Impressions

The packaging of the Vivo X200 FE is clean. It comes with a 90W fast charger, Type-C cable, and a good quality case (not those cheap or transparent ones). Bro, that alone is a green flag.

The build is impressive. The back is made of glass, the edges are flat with slight curves, and there is a triple camera setup that doesn’t scream “look at me”, but still looks confident. It’s thin, lightweight (189g), and surprisingly, it feels solid when held. It’s not fragile like other glass phones.

And yes, it can stand on its sides. Literally. That’s how flat and balanced it is.

Display: Small Size, Big Visuals

Display Specs:

  • 6.31-inch AMOLED
  • 1216×2640 resolution
  • 1.5K resolution
  • HDR10+ support
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • 5000 nits peak brightness

Despite being compact in size, the Vivo X200 FE has a high-end display. The bezels are ultra thin on all sides, which makes it even more impressive. Videos are quite vibrant and lively. Colours are a bit punchier by default, but you can easily reduce the intensity through its display settings if you want a more natural look.

I tested its brightness in the harsh sunlight of Delhi, YouTube’s HDR content looked gorgeous. Watching the Saiyaara trailer on this felt like a cinema in my palm.

Only con? It sometimes boosts the colours too much, especially of faces. But that can be fixed with a little tweaking of the settings.

Vivo X200 FE Features & Performance

Quick Look at Key Vivo X200 FE Features

  • Processor: Dimensity 9300+
  • RAM: 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X
  • Storage: 256GB / 512GB UFS 4.0
  • OS: Android 15 with FunTouchOS
  • Battery: 6500mAh with 90W wired charging
  • Fingerprint: In-display

Real-Life Performance

This phone is very good for daily use, Whether you’re gaming (BGMI, COD Mobile) or multitasking with 15 apps open, the Dimensity 9300+ handles everything easily. It did not overheat during 45 minutes of continuous gaming.

The battery life impressed me, it has a big 6500mAh battery. You will easily get 8 hours of screen time, including gaming, watching videos, and taking photos. That’s rare in small phones

App switching is smooth, apps open quickly, and don’t hang, even if many apps are running in the background. Plus, there are no useless apps or spammy notifications, a rare win in FunTouch OS.

You also get features like screen translation, AI subtitles, and smart tools that help in daily usage, especially for students or travelers watching international content. These little things make the user experience good.

Another underrated benefit? The speakers. Its stereo speakers get loud without cracking, the vocals are crisp, but the bass isn’t too punchy. Good enough to enjoy Netflix shows without earphones.

Camera

The Vivo X200 FE might not look like a camera phone, but just wait until you take your first portrait shot.

Camera Setup:

  • 50MP Main (OIS, f/1.8)
  • 8MP Ultrawide
  • 2MP Macro (for formality)
  • 16MP Selfie Camera

Real-World Photos

  • Portraits: The Vivo magic is back. Natural blur, sharp eyes, and good skin tones, beard details are a bit soft, but that’s not a big issue
  • Ultrawide: It is average, has only 8MP, and misses details, especially in low light.
  • Selfies: It’s bright and clear. Beauty mode is on by default, so you can turn it off for a more natural look
  • Video: Shoots in 4K at 60fps with good stability. Sometimes the colours seem too strong.

🫰 Unique Observation

Not many people talk about this, but eye detailing in portraits is one of the best I’ve seen. Even though the beard looks a little smooth, the eyes look stunning.

And the AI erase tool is fun. You can use it to remove distractions from your photos.

In night photography, the software tries its best to enhance brightness, but shadows tend to lose texture.
